Bio
I’m Juan Pedro, a wellness coach offering a unique somatic movement ecosystem in Sydney. My work integrates Feldenkrais (awareness, restorative), Yoga/Calisthenics (body mechanics, vitality), and Capoeira (dance, musicality). I’m currently delivering Feldenkrais and Capoeira programs. And I’m also studying a Remedial Massage Therapy Diploma at TAFE to continue broadening my knowledge in a space I love.
Feldenkrais
A universal method for improving movement, sensation, posture and breathing. These improvements can be directed towards assisting problems like pain, injuries and neurological issues, as well as assisting peak performance in sports and the performing arts.
I’m a Feldenkrais practitioner with around ten years of personal practice. In January 2024, I commenced formal studies with the Feldenkrais Institute Australia, and I’m currently a Certified Awareness Through Movement® practitioner.
Capoeira Angola
An Afro-Brazilian art form that combines culture, music, movement. It’s a way of living, rooted in individual freedom, respect, cooperation and joy. Thus, empowering individuals to grow and flourish within society.
With Mestre Roxinho & Institute Bantu I learned how the practice could be a resource for social justice, a method to heal trauma, a tool to empower and help people thrive.
Capoeira has given me so much in my life, it fills me with pride and joy to be able to share the practice I love with the people that need it most. I am a Capoeira Angola practitioner and educator.
Over time Feldenkrais has lightened, refined my relationship with Capoeira. It has given me tools to navigate the practice’s physical intensity. Allowing me to find even more inner joy and deepen my connection with others.
